Hypnotherapy Uses > Headaches and Migraines

How often do you feel the stress and tension of the day end up in your neck and shoulders and then find it traveling to your head and eyes?

Do your sinuses bother you after a stressful interaction leading up to a headache or a migraine?

It is estimated that a large population of people suffer from some form of migraine headaches or headaches in general. Millions are spent annually on treatment costs and lost workdays as a result of the debilitating pain.

Physiologically headaches are caused by muscular tension resulting in pain, while migraines are the contraction of blood vessels that go to the scalp and brain followed by dilation and inflammation that produces pain. Emotionally, headaches and migraines have links. More and more it has become clear to society and the medical community that the mind, body and spirit have a strong connection and this is the connection I address with the use of Hypnotherapy.

We also know that the body can produce a natural anesthesia to alleviate pain and physical discomfort. When a person is happy and calm and feeling good then our bodies release endorphins. It is these endorphins that keep our bodies feeling good and pain free. When we are willing to forgive ourselves and create peace and balance in our lives we can relieve all physical illness.
